Hi Dr. McCarthy!

I've been following your advice in this blog and it's made such a difference, I can't thank you enough! I bought Dansko shoes and Aetrex sandals, but am unhappy with what I'm currently wearing around the house (no more barefooting!). I alternate between an old pair of Crocs Kadees that are almost tread-less or an old pair of Keen flipflops (I know, no rearfoot strap, but they are cushy, and a temporary solution for around the house). I'm looking at the recommended Crocs, but would like to know what the difference is between the Crocs RX and other Crocs styles that look the same? Price is kind of an issue right now since I spent big bucks on the sandals and shoes, so I'm looking for sales. Must I narrow my bargain search to only the RX ones?

Thanks!

HI Tracey,
Sorry about the delay in response!
Rx Crocs are the best because they offer more support and have a more rigid sole. They are approved by the American Podaitric Medical Association for Diabetic patients.
I would Google search: 'RX Crocs, cheap' and see what you come up with. Even if you can't get Rx Crocs - get a regualr Croc as that is better than flip-flops. I've had a lot of luck with finding deals on 6pm.com and Zappos.
Hope that is helpful and have a great day!
