I absolutely love Tsubo shoes!
Every pair I've owned has been a go-to shoe for comfort and style. 

What's great about these two wedges are that they have a thick, rigid sole that is very protective of your foot joints. 
More protection for your feet means 
less wear-and-tear of the joints, which results in 
more comfort and less chance of injury.

The Barto shoe is superior because it has forefoot, midfoot and rearfoot control, which allows for more biomechanical control.

Wedge shoes is a great innovation of shoes from pointed heels. Wedge are more balance than pointed heels and you will be more comfortable to walk using it. It is as high fashionable as pointed one.

Dr McCarthy I just found your blog and am so thankful for all the good info you provide! What a nice service you are doing!

I have a question and am hoping you see it!

I am a 53 year old active healthy woman with over pronation flat feet. I have been wearing custom orthotics for about 30 years. YAY! My question is about what to wear in summer. I don't seem to feel as good when I wear sandals (even ones like Naot and Dansko)for walking.

I travel a lot and want to still look stylish, so do you have any recommendation for outfits that look good with sneakers? And for over-pronators/people with flat feet which shoes do you like best? I have been reading your blog like a fiend looking for your recs for pronators.

My good friend who used to work in a podiatry office says my pronation is some of the most severe she has seen.

with my orthotics I can happily say I can run 3 times a week and walk all over disneyland with little or no pain

But my question is more about style and comfort.

Any ideas will be so appreciated!

Thank you so much for the kind words and for reading the blog!

You might want to try the Wolky 'Tulip', 'Jewel' or 'Cloggy'. They are the best sandals that I know of and the inserts come out and can be replaced with your own custom-molded insert.

I do have some patients who simply cannot wear sandals due to their severe pronation and you might be one of those people but, hopefully, the Wolky's may work for occasional light wear.
