Podiatry Approved Slippers for Autumn & Winter!

 Podiatry Approved Slippers

These slippers are all wonderful options for slippers that will help improve stability and decrease risk of falling. They also feel wonderful and are very protective of your feet and will even help with knee, hip, and lower back pain.

If worn daily, they should be replaced at least once a year. If you are young and active, or on the heavier side, then you may need to replace them more often. The key with shoes is that when they are worn out you need to replace them. I always advise my patients to concider replacing old and worn out shoes and slippers as medical expense and that they are worth it!

Another advantage of these slippers is that they have a removable insole so that if you wear a heel lift for a limb-length discrepacy, you can easily fit up to a 9 mm heel lift under the insole.

If you have any conditions such as drop foot, Charcot Marie Tooth Disease, history of a stroke, or ankle instability, the slippers with rearfoot control (Lorin and Vito) are better options for you as they are hands-free slip on and they offer more foot and ankle biomechanical control for more stability.
