Stretch Walker at Foot Solutions...

Bad news for MBT lover's!!

MBT was bought out by another company and the things that made the shoe so wonderful are changing. They are trying to appeal to a larger market which means that they may be sacrificing the MBT's stability to aesthetics.

A new shoe that is as good if not better than the old MBT is the STRETCH WALKER at FOOT SOLUTIONS on the SW corner of Scottsdale Rd and Acoma.

This shoe has a rigid sole which is excellent for a multitude of forefoot and midfoot problems with the added advantage that's it's lighter than the MBT. It has a midfoot stabilizer and stretchable fabric across the wide toebox. All of the patients who have purchased this shoe have all loved it!

This shoe is excellent for almost any foot type or any foot pathology including diabetic and neuropathy patients. It is not appropriate for patients with severe deformities who require custom-molded shoes. It's also excellent for people who are on their feet a lot such as retail employees, post office employees, teachers or anyone with chronic foot problems.

Cost: $280
*Remember, if you have chronic foot pain, shoes are an investment. Although this shoe is not for everyone - think about how much you spend in co-pays and medical bills and I bet anything it's more economical and time saving to invest in an excellent pair of shoes than spend all that money and time going to the podiatrist!

Rating: 8-toes on a scale of zero-toes (arch enemy) to ten-toes (foot friendly).

Have a wonderful day!

Great Post –

The best part was to read the facts and the truth between your lines. The best reads I have found in the Blogoshere always build on the facts, are fun, and fundamental help the biggest audience. I am very familiar with the MBT, Chung Chi, the Stretch Walkers and others I will hold back on for now.

OK as an insider @ Foot Solutions I am privy to lots of great stuff. I will say the following humbly -- My background as a Physiologist, Competitive Athlete, Coached 1000s, Director of 2 of the largest Health Facilities since 1981 -- the world of Feet and Shoes has always been Top of Mind.

Back on point - your most insightful comment was the "stability to aesthetics." With out connecting in this moment to one shoe being better over another... the biggest truth is that fashion has always driven to garner the market share over function for the short term sale. Then a new shoe comes down the pike, right. I am an advocate of design, innovation that serves function first.

Today our feet are killing us literally 

Take a look at a woman's closet and you will see some of the most uncomfortable, foot pain in the making shoes in rows and rows, right. Having been in a Sports & Fitness Industry for 30 plus years that is driven by our feet, I have at times personally sacrificed style, a favorite color over wearing proper footwear at times. Not to mention what my sponsors wanted me to wear and compete in 

The Stretch Walker is a shoe that a Dr. as you can easily see the facts that make this a Winner in the Shoe World (an awesome shoe). A shoe that is placed on any foot that uses “podiatry criteria based on function / stability / accommodative qualities while playing second to fashion / aesthetics makes for happy feet. The truth in this case does not hurt the feet 

Exiting here, I like your closing review scale/description," Rating: 8-toes on a scale of zero-toes (arch enemy) to ten-toes (foot friendly)." I would like to see more of that…
