Comfortable Women's Boots at Dillards at Paradise Valley Mall...

UGG CASPIA BOOT...

Loved this boot!
Found at Dillard's at Paradise Valley Mall on Tatum & Cactus in Phoenix (ask for Kathleen!) - this is a wonderful boot because it has a supportive rigid sole which helps to decrease stress and strain across the foot. It has a wide toe box with no seams, making it excellent for anyone with mild bunion or hammertoe issues. It doesn't have the best arch support but it may accommodate a dress orthotic (assuming you don't have a high arch or painful bumps on the top of your mid-foot area which would cause pain). It is also fleece lined which is just comfy.

This boot is recommended for patients with:
*Mild to Moderate Bunions and Hammertoes
*Mild Morton's Neuromas
*Mild Metatarsalgia
*Mild Plantar Fascitiis/Heel Pain
*Mild Tendonitis
*Mild Achilles Tendonitis
*Mild to Moderate Hallux Limitus/Rigidus (Limited Range of Motion at the 1st Toe Joint)
*Mild to (Perhaps) Moderate Osteoarthritis
*Mild Ankle Pain and/or Lateral Ankle Instability
*Diabetics with Minimal Foot Issues

This Shoe is NOT recommended for Patients with:
*Charcot Foot
*Severe Bunions (although it might work if you take the boot to a shoe repair/Cobbler to have the leather in the bunions area stretched)
*Severe Hammertoes
*Severe Osteoarthritis/Degenerative Joint Disease
*Moderate to Severe Tendonitis
*Severe Plantar Fascitiis/Heel Pain

Cost: $150

Rating: 8/10 - on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best.

CLASSIC LEATHER SPIRA...

CLASSIC LEATHER SPIRA.

Wow!

I am not easily impressed but this walking shoe is one of the best...

What makes this shoe excellent:

The rigid sole provides wonderful protection to the foot and hidden inside the sole is "WaveSpring" Technology" meaning that there are two lightweight metal springs within the sole (one in the heel and one in the forefoot) that "stores and disburses energy with every step." This technology allows the shoe to "reduce peak impact forces and decrease injuries." An interesting article was written about this technology in the July 2003 issue of "Popular Mechanics."

This shoe is recommended for patients with:
*Heel Pain.
*Knee, Hip and Lower Back Pain.
*Achilles Tendonitis.
*Osteoarthritis.
*Rheumatoid Arthritis.
*Some Diabetics and Neuropathic patients. (Ideally, these patients should be in what is called an "Extra-Depth Shoe with Accommodative Orthotics which helps to decrease the risk of ulcers and risk of infection, gangrene and amputations).
*Hypermobility.
*Hallux Limitus/Rigidus (Limited range of motion or no range of motion at the first toe joint).
*Morton's Neuromas.
*Bunions, Hammertoes and Tailor's Bunions.
*Metatarsalgia.
*Fallen Arches.

This shoe is not recommended for patients with:
*Charcot Foot (Typically, these patients need to be in a custom-molded shoe or even a custom-molded boot).
*Diabetic Neuropathic Patients (See above).
*Any patients with open ulcers.

**The only thing that can make this shoe better is a custom-molded orthotic or an excellent over-the-counter insert to offer more arch support.

Cost:
$145.00

Rating:
9.75 out of 10 (with 10 being the best).

**I have no involvement (financially or otherwise) with this company...

Adios!
